Bob de Jong is an Amsterdam-based contemporary artist and filmmaker working across painting, generative art, moving image, digital installation, and limited-edition fine art prints. He uses algorithms as brushes, treating the graphics card as another kind of easel where pigment and bits begin to cross-pollinate.

With a background in advertising and film, worlds built on images made to be believed, he now turns generative systems on philosophy itself: on perception, authorship, and what we still agree to call real. He runs Wittgenstein through translation until the Tractatus starts turning against itself, stripping it of the last certainty it thought it had. He watches yellow mutate across the internet, and rebuilds Amsterdam from recycled digital traces until the city starts producing itself.

However conceptual the work becomes, the image is never secondary.
